Believe it or not, the smell of your kratom may be an indication of its quality. We have a lot of new customers asking, “what does kratom smell like?” So, we thought we would address all your questions about the smell of kratom in this blog. In general, kratom has a very earthy aroma. It will all depend on the strain of kratom you have as to what type of smell you may experience. In addition, the quality of kratom you are buying may also hinder the smell of your products.
What Does Kratom Powder Smell Like?
As we have already mentioned, what your powder smells like will highly depend on the strain and quality. Typically, you will find that kratom powder has a similar aroma to green tea. It is very earthy-smelling. Some may go as far as to say kratom has a pungent smell but it is not offensive.
Green vein kratom tends to have a stronger aroma than other vein colors. This is especially true for Green Maeng Da and Green Malay. Users have commented that these strains have a strong herbal aroma and tend to be more earthy than red strains.
Does Kratom Cause Your Body To Smell?
There is only anecdotal reporting when it comes to the aroma of kratom. So, you may not take this advice as realistic. You will have to conduct your own research to get the best answer to this question. There is a debate that kratom can cause you to have body odor. However, there is no real proof of this theory.
Some people report after using kratom for a prolonged period of time they have noticed a funky smell, which would mimic the aroma of powder along with sweat. However, again, there is no scientific proof that kratom can cause your body to have an odor.
While it is possible, the chances of kratom powder causing you to have a body odor are not likely.
Can Kratom Cause Your Urine To Have An Odor?
Again, this is a long stretch and there is no concreate evidence to prove that kratom caused your urine to have an odor. However, there is a slight possibility if you use large doses of kratom that these concentrated levels could be noticed in the smell of your urine. You may notice when you drink a lot of coffee that your urine has a slight aroma of this stimulating drink. So, this would not be unheard of, but it is not something that kratom users are reporting either.
Will Kratom Affect The Way Your Breath Smells?
Kratom users have reported that kratom can cause their breath to have a bad smell. Everyone knows a dry mouth can lead to bad breath and this is one thing that kratom may induce. However, there is no scientific evidence to back any of this up. It is all going off anecdotal reporting and what other users have experienced.
You could speak with your family doctor about these concerns and see what they think. They are the only ones who can advise you on kratom. You never want to take an herbal supplement that may interact with medications or medical conditions you are being treated for. This is why we ask all of our customers to speak with their physician before making a purchase. As long as you practice good hygiene and stay well hydrated you should not experience any issues with bad breath from kratom.
Quality Of Kratom and The Aroma
The aroma of your kratom is a sign of its quality. You should always smell your kratom powder before use. If it has any type of funky smell that you are not used to, then it could indicate that you have a bad batch of kratom.
You should always smell your product before using them. If it looks or smells different than its typical appearance then you need to throw it away. This could be a sign that your kratom has gone bad.
Also, if you order powder in and notice that the aroma is very different than your previous batches you must contact the vendor and let them know. Only work with vendors who offer lab testing on their products. This will prove the purity and quality of the kratom they offer you.
