Is It Safe To Mix Kratom and Beer?

Some users have made kratom a part of their routine. With this has come the question can kratom and beer be mixed. Avid users want to know if it is safe to have these two products together. If it is not, then they want to know what could happen.

As you are already aware, mixing any type of supplements with alcohol is typically not a good idea. This is because alcohol alters your state of mind and you never want to add in additional products that could cause an interaction.

Is It Safe To Mix Kratom and Beer?

Let’s discover actual research which tells us what could happen if you try to mix these two substances.

Mixing Kratom and Alcohol

Many people turn to alcohol for recreational use. This means they will have the occasional beer with a friend when they go out, or they may even polish off a six-pack on a Saturday night. While there’s nothing wrong with consuming alcohol, the big question is, is it safe to use with kratom?

There is little to no reliable scientific research available when it comes to using kratom and beer. Which makes writing this blog a little tricky. However, we can use what we know about both substances and come to a fair conclusion on whether or not it is safe to mix them.

Kratom is an all-natural herb that is grown in many parts of Southeast Asia. It comes in a variety of forms including powders, capsules, and extracts. Alcohol will only come in liquid form. You may find some chefs who cook with alcohol but this will not matter for the information we are writing about.

There has been some research conducted which used kratom as a tool to help curb alcohol cravings. These studies did prove that kratom may help reduce the desire for alcohol or at least help with withdrawal-type symptoms. However, more research is needed to truly understand if kratom can be used in this way. Again, this is just one study and while it did prove some things this should never be perceived as safe.

You must consult with your family doctor before you take kratom. They are the only ones who can offer you advice when it comes to kratom. There was another study conducted in 2019 by Purdue. However, there was not a strong enough conclusion to prove that the combination was safe.

So, all the research that has been conducted does not give us a clear picture of whether or not it is safe to mix kratom and beer. As you know, extended use of alcohol can cause significant issues for your health. If you have an alcohol dependency you must consult with your physician. Do not try to add in a supplement, as this could have some nasty side effects. There are all kinds of anecdotal advice surrounding this topic. However, everyone is different, so you cannot take this advice as safe.

Is It Safe To Mix Kratom and Beer?

Let’s answer our original question. It is not good to mix anything with alcohol. Since this substance can alter your mental state you never want to add in another substance that could worsen those effects.

The safest advice that you can take away from this blog is to consult with your physician. You must do this because they will be aware of your medical history, and be able to make the right decision when it comes to supplements.

The bottom line is, you have two substances that probably should never be combined. Alcohol can have side effects that are nasty and could become heightened when adding in other substances. The only person who can truly answer this question is a doctor. So, if you are thinking about trying kratom and are an avid drinker, then you need to be open and honest with your physician. They can go over the side effects that could occur as a result of this combination.
