Crushed Leaf Kratom

A Leaf’s Lifecycle and Vein Color

Kratom’s scientific name is Mitragyna Speciosa. It is a part of the coffee family but only grows in Southeast Asia. It has been utilized for centuries in Asian culture. However, it is relatively new to the western world. The leaves of the kratom tree are where all the alkaloids live. While many users may think that different vein colors come from different trees this is not the case.

There are 3 natural vein colors which include white, green, and red. Yellow vein kratom does not occur naturally and is considered a rarity in the kratom world. The vein indicates the maturity of the leaf. White vein kratom offers subtle support and is the purest form of kratom. The alkaloids will not be as robust as green or red vein kratom. However, white vein kratom offers support that no other form of kratom can.

The vein will transform from white to green as it ages. This signifies that the leaf is at the midpoint of its lifecycle. Farmers will know the right time to pluck the leaves. Green vein kratom is a bit more robust than white but does not have the potency that red vein kratom offers.

If you are looking for a perfect balance between white and red, then you will want to opt for green vein kratom.

Last but not least we have red vein kratom. This vein color signifies the most mature leaves. They will be packed with a robust alkaloid content.

All leaves will be harvested at the optimal time and be left to dry. Various drying methods can change the type of strain being offered.

Yellow vein kratom does not occur naturally. It is the product of a specialized drying technique. Because it takes skill on the farmer’s part, not all kratom vendors will have access to yellow vein kratom.

However, we work with very skilled farmers who can cure yellow vein kratom. You will find that we offer several yellow vein kratom strains in both powders and capsules.

It is during the drying process that the alkaloids will be locked in. This is why the drying process is so important.

What Is Crushed Leaf Kratom?

Once the leaves are dried they will be crushed into a powder. Rather than grinding the leaves into a fine powder, they can be left as crushed leaves and utilized in teas.

Not all vendors will offer crushed kratom leaves, but it is a very popular form of kratom. Many people enjoy making a pot of kratom tea and crushed leaves are the right type of kratom for the job.

You can make kratom tea using powder but crushed leaves are the preferred choice among those who enjoy kratom tea.

Oasis Kratom Crushed Leaves

We offer three different strains of crushed leaves: Green Maeng Da, Red Maeng Da, and White Maeng Da.

Maeng Da happens to be the most popular strain here at Oasis and the reason why we choose to carry crushed leaves in these three options.

It allows our customers to choose a crushed leaf based on the vein color that they typically opt for.

Why Do People Opt For Crushed Leaf Kratom Over Powders?

The truth of the matter is that most people will choose kratom powder or capsules over crushed leaf because most vendors do not offer the crushed leaf option.

However, when a powder is produced the stems and veins of the leaves will first be removed. This helps ensure that the finished product is a nice powdery consistency.

This is not the case with crushed leaves. Removing parts of the leaf means that certain alkaloids that live in the parts removed will no longer be offered in the final product.

So, crushed leaf kratom offers all the alkaloids found within the leaf. By crushing the leaves the alkaloids remain intact. Grounding the leaves into a powder causes a loss in some of the alkaloids. This is why a lot of kratom enthusiasts are now opting for crushed kratom leaves.
